Our Impact
Moonshot by the Numbers
Moonshot creates sustainable change by building and supporting diverse, local leadership. Over six cohorts, Moonshot has supported 100 Fellows. Most Fellows have continued to stay in impact-oriented fields, many citing their Moonshot experience as key to reinvigorating their passion, evolving their practice, and giving them new a new grounding sense of community.
Funding Support For Fellows
Moonshot has successfully, multiple times, run a crowd-funding campaign for participating Fellows and their ventures called the Shoot for the Moon Challenge. Moonshot provides Fellows a chance to get a professionally made video to explain their venture in addition to funds. Over three years, Moonshot raised over $208,000 to give directly to Fellows’ organizations. In Fall 2023, we ran our first ever Moonshot giving campaign called Funding Our Future, and we were able to raise over $20,000!

After Our Programs
Moonshot Fellows demonstrated high interest and engagement in continuing to work with Moonshot, so we created our residency programs. Additionally, many Moonshot Fellows go on from our program to receive support from organizations, such as 4.0 Schools, Camelback Ventures, and High Tech High, and have secured grants from local and national funders. Even if Fellows don’t continue with their original project, they stay engaged in the community, such as working in local policy or joining another Fellow-founded organization.
5-Year Impact Report
For our first five years, Moonshot edVentures focused on building theapipeline of diverse leaders to design and launch the learning environments of tomorrow. We are proud to present to you our first-ever Impact Report.
Showcase
Held annually since 2017, the Moonshot Showcase aims to highlight and celebrate the incredible talents and achievements of the leaders in our network who are re-imagining what education can look like! The Moonshot Showcase is an opportunity for Moonshot Fellows past and present to share their work, build connections, and celebrate their efforts.
