Shoot For the Moon 2020

Ten Dreams. Ten Incredible Founders. One Mission. Meet the Moonshot fellows that are changing the world. 

In May 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, the Moonshot team created a virtual event to take the place of our typically in-person “VIP Meet and Greet.” Our goal was to provide Fellows with the opportunity to share the progress of their ventures with the community and to rally support in order to launch and sustain their ventures. The Shoot For The Moon Challenge provides ten Fellows with the opportunity to create a marketing video, and to participate in a two-week collective fundraising challenge. All funds raised during the Challenge go to these Fellows, which provides critical support for them to be able to launch their ventures. We began the Challenge with a $5,000 fundraising goal, and ended up raising over $28,000. As a result, four of the Fellows were able to go full-time with their venture, four were able to continue piloting with students, two were able to use the funds for critical infrastructure, and all ten had incredible videos to use for future outreach and marketing.
